It is claimed that Mormons were the only Religions group to ever have an execution order enacted on them. They were told to leave or they would be forced out of Missouri by Governor Lilburn Boggs. Some 137 years later Missoui’s Governor Christopher S. Bond formally rescinded the extermination order. The order was rescinded not to the Salt Lake Brigham Branch of Mormonism but to the Reorganized Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – The Church in which Joseph Smiths children became part of.
The invitation from the RLDS was written from Jackson County Missouri. This is where it is prophesied that Jesus would return. This is also where it was prophesied that a Temple would be built. The RLDS has a Temple on1 by the location where it was prophesied. The Brigham Branch of LDS does not own a temple here2 there nor do they own the land in that spot.3
P.S. Governor Bond did apologies to all parties who were involved in the extermination order.
