In my opinion there is too much emphasis on getting new members into the church and not enough energy on keeping the ones who are inactive. The inactives in the Church out number the actives in the Church. Their are counted as members why not count them in the seats on Sunday.

Divorce is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a marriage. But when you are taught since a young age, boys as well as girl, about marring in the Temple, you tend to take the social implications on a more personal level.

How can you sit through “Families can be together forever” or another talk about “Temple Marriage being the only way to the Celestials” without feeling like ever one in the chapel, who knows your situation, is thinking about how sorry they feel toward your situation?

Marriage is a wonderful subject to focus on but if your divorce has you leaving the church or not showing your face in your ward because of the embarrassment you feel, it’s a one sided argument that needs revising.

And as a side note I miss the ones who don’t show up because of Mormon Social Stigmas. They seem to be the most interesting ones in the Church.
