Divorce is one of the most horrible things that can happen to a marriage. But when you are taught since a young age, boys as well as girl, about marring in the Temple, you tend to take the social implications on a more personal level.
How can you sit through “Families can be together forever” or another talk about “Temple Marriage being the only way to the Celestials” without feeling like ever one in the chapel, who knows your situation, is thinking about how sorry they feel toward your situation?
Marriage is a wonderful subject to focus on but if your divorce has you leaving the church or not showing your face in your ward because of the embarrassment you feel, it’s a one sided argument that needs revising.
And as a side note I miss the ones who don’t show up because of Mormon Social Stigmas. They seem to be the most interesting ones in the Church.
