In an article from The Salt Lake Tribune dated 06/10/2008 and titled “Mormon and Black: Grappling with a racist past”.  I read the story of a new bride in The Salt Lake City Temple. There was an elderly man who saw Tamu Smith, the new bride, and asked aloud:

. . .  what a Ni**er was doing there.

But instead of chastise this man the Temple workers defended him, saying he didn’t know better.

This was fifteen years after the June 8th Revelation mind you, in the very same Temple where that Revelation came out of.

Now, I don’t believe every word that come from within the church but I believe that there are some really great people that attend. Just as I believe that there are some really great and good people that don’t attend.

Latte Day Saints 11-03-08

I have been kinda busy lately and this is the reason I haven’t posted in 2 months. Work, family, callings, etc. I have been called to and accepted a calling in the Elders Quorum Presidency. And yes I am freaking out.

To all the Latte Day Saints out there . . . . hang in there . . . . I will be posting every week now.

Naomi: Yes, I will be posting again. Thank’s for asking. And thank’s for the concern.

I was sitting in Gospel Doctrine when thoughts of Noah’s Arc came to mind. If Africans were denied the Priesthood and access to Temples for being inferior, then why where Black People allowed on the Ark?

Articles of Faith #13

I believe we are all in this world for the same things. The 13th Article of Faith can be had of most religions. And after all we are all God’s Children even if you believe in the Goddess Mother or no God at all.

This is a question I just came up with. If it wasn’t for slavery I wouldn’t be here on this continent. And I am of Canaanite lineage (via the Tribe of Joseph). So, my question to all is . . . . . Was God just gathering one tribe of Israel on the American continent when he allowed slavery here for all those years?

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints issued a stoppage to the practice of Polygamy in 1890. At that time the current Prophet was a practicing polygamist and continued to practice until his death while hiding in exile from a government issued. Some say the practice didn

Boyd K. Packer, gave a devotional address entitled “Follow the Rule”. It was given at Brigham Young University on 14 January 1977 while he was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The subject of the devotional was how The Church counsels members to marry their own race. This counsel continues 30 years later.

On June 9th 1978 The Church ended the practice of not directly proselytizing to Black people as well as letting male members into the Mormon Priesthood.

On June 10th 1978 The Church reaffirmed its “Follow the Rule” stance of Whites marrying Whites and Blacks marrying Blacks in a letter.
