I love Jello. And so do you. Admit it. I have met people who don’t like sweets or even chocolate but I’ve never met a person who doesn’t like Jello.

Even though I don’t watch American Idle Idol I was surprised to find out there are two Mormons this season. It was great to find out that last seasons Survivor winner is a Gay Mormon.

There is still the NAACP and there is still MoTa. I just thought it was ironic that African Americans don’t like to be called Colored People but the phrase ‘Colored People’ is still included in the famous organization. And as well as ‘Mormon’ is included in the LDS chior.

Inconceivable¹!!! Like many of our English [and even French] words we tend to bring them up in conversations that have nothing to do with the word itself. Sometimes people use the word in a sentence and through antiquity or other means we adopt it as our own. Like:

Beg The Question: Really means, a form of logical fallacy in which an argument is assumed to be true without evidence other than the argument itself.

Example would be “I think he is unattractive because he is ugly.” The adjective “ugly” does not explain why the subject is “unattractive” — they virtually amount to the same subjective meaning, and the proof is merely a restatement of the premise. The sentence has begged the question.

Could Care Less: Implies that you are currently caring more.

Literally: Quite obviously. But not figurative.

Irregardless: There’s “irrespective,” and there’s “regardless,” but there’s no such thing as “irregardless.”

But the best thing about our English language is . . . . It really doesn’t matter much. If you make up a word and it sticks, it’s now part of the English language.

The word Upset used to have only one meaning until the year 1919. This is the year when an underdog house named Upset beat the previously undefeated horse Man o’ War. Since that date in time whenever anyone came from behind and won a victory over a person, horse, dog, The Patriots, etc. we call this an Upset. And that is The Gospel of that story!

What is happening within the Church doesn’t just stopping there. It effects people who aren’t members yet also. There sometimes is opposition and bickering within the church which is not necessarily shown to the investigators. When those investigators become members and find that there are feuds among members, the Brightness of the Church dims in their eyes just a twinkling.

Why would you want to subject your closest friends to this kind of nonsense? As a Brother stated after our Christmas party:

Gods House is a House of Order

To which I answered.

This one really makes me scratch my head. Because I thought the Book of Doctrine an Covenants contains the Precepts and The Book of Mormon contains the Stories. If this makes anyone else scratch their heads please comment.

Mormon.org provides limited information about the church and what Mormons believe. The e-cards have gotten better throughout the years. Consider sending one to your friend or better yet send one to someone in the Church how dislikes you for no particular reason.
